The

Prom

A new musical comedy about big Broadway stars, a small town, and a love that unites them all.

CONCEPT

THE PROM, is a completely original story, which has many aspects. Yes, a prom is held in the production but the story is really about a small town learning tolerance, with the help of over-the-top Broadway stars.

For the ad campaign, I wanted to feature a symbol of unity locked into the logo. We photographed the characters Emma and Alyssa standing proud and embracing their love for their community to see. The pose of the girls has become a symbol of unity for the production and has been heavily featured on social media and in fan art.

The copy line “BIG BROADWAY STARS. ONE SMALL TOWN, AND THE LOVE THAT UNITES THEM”, was to create a short-hand elevator pitch of the full experience.

The other elements in the composition hold very strategic purposes. The Broadway stars help communicate a sense of humor and confirm that this story is not just about teenagers. The ensemble helps communicate a value proposition, that this is a BIG, Broadway show with big flashy numbers and an energetic cast.
