SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL takes us through Donna Summer's tumultuous life, tempestuous loves, and mega-watt musical hits.

CONCEPT

For a musical about the queen of disco, I wanted to create the feeling of a disco ball, rather than showing one.

The typography is built with a multi-surfaced mirror texture. When set in motion, the logo reflected and refracted light like a disco ball. The typography was influenced by the album art of Summer’s hit, On The Radio.

The key art image was similarly inspired by the refraction of imagery through the lens of a disco ball.
